Drew Russell, big, tall, thickly muscled and good looking, made quite an impression in his BGEast debut - a tag team affair with Alexi Adamov at his side taking on Team Thunder from Cajun Country! No, the big babyfaces didn't win. And no, Drew didn't shock the fans by rescuing his tag partner and defeating the heels. Quite the contrary! He was memorable for the intense beat-downs he suffered, from ALL involved! It was bad enough being beaten down by the treacherous foes on the other side of the ring - but to get beaten down by your own partner after the match is over? "Give me another chance to show what I've got," he insisted to the boss. "Let me back in the ring with Cage Thunder!"
And as the fans know, BGE seldom promotes rematches. Oh they happen, for sure, but BGE rarely tapes them, unless there is a very compelling reason. Well, when Drew and Cage announced they were going to have it out whether or not BGE sponsored or condoned the match, the intensity and heat generated between these two studs was compelling and intriguing enough for The Boss to book it!
Cage was more than willing to get back in the ring with Drew. If Drew had not taken the initiative and demanded a second shot at the masked heel, Cage intended to provoke Russell to a rematch. Cage believed he had some unfinished business with the big stud. The masked menace enjoys causing pain, especially to the big boys, and in his estimation, Drew's muscular body didn't get enough of the Cage treatment in their tag battle!
For Cage, wrestling is about dominating and humiliating another man - as any of his previous victims can attest! And when Drew comes out of the lockerroom to survey the ring, confidence exuding from his every pore, he's unaware that Cage is hiding out, laying in wait just on the other side of the door! Coming up from behind his bigger opponent, Cage's gloved hand darts through Drew's powerful legs and finds its target - nothing like a vicious ball squeeze to deflate the challenger's confidence and set the stage by giving the big man a taste of what's to come! As Drew groans in agony, the gloved hand grasping his balls with a vise-like grip, Cage tosses him through the ring ropes...and then slowly makes his own careful way into the ring to begin Drew's lesson in wrestling, Cage-style!
