Professor Leopard Explains It All For You

Back when Kid Leopard was his lightweight champ and wowing the fans and his opponents with his seemingly endless repertoire of submission holds, BG got frequent requests for a video how-to of KL's best moves, a step-by-step instructional guide to The Master of Submission's tastiest finishers. Taped over the course of several months and starting with the letter "A", KL assembled a compendium of moves, holds, reversals, escapes, pins, bumps and submission holds culled from a variety of wrestling and self-defense styles but with a decided emphasis on professional wrestling technique. Leopard starts with a brief but thorough warm-up of simple but effective total body stretching moves and then launches into an alphabetical assault on the vocabulary of BG action.

His first assistant/partner/victim/chump is none other than Buddy Justice who at this point had been with BG Wrestling for less than a year. This was Buddy's first official appearance at BG's West Coast Arena, just in time to be fodder for KL's academic arsenal. Buddy sucked it all in, taking some big bumps and knocks in the process, as the Leopard took some special pleasure in thrashing this cocky and humpy newcomer. Buddy bit his tongue and held his fire, taking everything the teacher threw at him. Little did anyone know then that a mere nine months later, it would be Buddy Justice delivering the lesson! - He took Kid Leopard and his BG Lightweight Championship and title belt in front of a large all-male crowd at "Live at Phantom" in a match that remains controversial to this day!

This "A to Z" instructional begins, appropriately enough, with the Abdominal Stretch/Guillotine and gets as far as the floating octopus, the remainder of the wrestling alphabet to be covered in a possible follow-up future release. The ex-champ covers the basics but also delves into some more intricate holds such as a short arm scissors, a crossbow, and crucifix. He explains and demonstrates them in a great detail, thoroughly and carefully, showing variations in approach and execution, and the escape or reversal where applicable. He also explains how a move should be used in a professional wrestling setting and how it can be adapted for more competitive grappling or "promission" wrestling, and always with a heavy emphasis on safety and respect for your opponent.
