Kirk Donahue possesses more unrealized potential than any wrestler in competition at BG East. He has the strength, skill, and depth of indy pro and underground wrestling experience to hang with absolutely anyone. But he has also posted some of the most epic and spectacular chokes in the history of BG East. So when he pulled out a barnburner, upset victory against a notoriously vicious indy pro heel at Wrestling with Pride, there was a collective gasp among the army of BG East fans accustomed to seeing him snatch defeat from the jaws of victory time and time again. Was this a career-defining moment or merely the exception that proves the rule? Are we witnessing a Kirk Donahue sea-change?
Chase Addams was at ringside offering commentary at Wrestling with Pride and witnessed first-hand Kirk's momentous transformation from the butt of locker room jokes into a truly dangerous and surprisingly aggressive contender. Himself a devotee of ring improvisation and innovation, Chase has charted a much more direct route than Kirk in demanding and exacting respect in the ring. He literally ties opponents into knots and makes them beg for mercy. And Chase knows a serious challenge when he sees it; finally seeing Kirk deliver on the promise of all of that skill and potential did nothing but whet Chase's appetite.
Kirk accepted Chase's eager challenge the weekend following the Wrestling with Pride benefit show. They quickly agreed to a strictly submissions match, battling it out for nothing but coming out on top of the submissions tally after a minimum of twenty minutes. Fresh off of his Wrestling with Pride victory, Kirk's ego is has become as pronounced as that massively impressive, eye-popping bulge between his lovely legs. Chase's own rather remarkable derriere is emblazoned with his ironic life motto, "Charming As Fuck."
Don't blink, or you'll miss several links in the chain wrestling these young hunks fly through! A hip toss blurs into a side headlock for a fraction of a second before Chase slides into a cross-faced crippler. Moments later, Kirk executes a dizzying escape before morphing seamlessly from full nelson to rear bearhug to suspended abdominal stretch. It's as much a chess match as a sporting contest, with these two submission masters plotting moves and setting up their submissions multiple holds in advance. It's a veritable tour de force.
When Chase stretches a long leg into the ropes to avoid submitting to Kirk's skull crushing headscissors, Kirk delivers the clean break. "You're lucky I believe in sportsmanship," the freckle-faced pretty boy snarls. Chase's axe handle to the back of the head and savage stomps on Kirk's fingers demonstrate what Chase feels about sportsmanship.
No less than nine sweat-soaked submissions are tallied, even as both stubborn studs refuse to give to anything less than threat of broken bones. Screams echo off of the walls as they wring sobbing tears out of each other like a wet rag. Seductive, stolen strokes of sweat-soaked muscles suggest that there's more at stake than climbing the career ladder. When one stunned stud is worn all the way out, the victor compassionately offers his hand and helps him to his feet. "Hey, I'm not a bad guy," are the last words the loser hears before getting bulldogged out cold in the middle of the ring.
One of these ambitious, talented, beautiful young men will most definitely get a leg up in his BG East rankings, after using his opponent's face as a stepping stool. You'll have to watch to the bitter, screaming end to find out who's riding the momentum out of this match!
