Biff Farrell is, of course, one of the most popular babyfaces of the past decade at BG East. His wholesome, military-grade good looks, his easy and natural smile, and, not least of all, his considerable talents as a wrestler are all part of his charm. He's also bulgy in the right places, with a heft you can practically feel just looking at him. If you ask us, it's a shame what Brute Baynard is about to do to the guy. Brute's talents in the ring are even better known than Biff's, with a physique that appears to be carved out of the side of a mountain. His sneer is as easy and natural as Biff's smile. And he's eager (you could even say chomping at the bit) to give Biff pointers on being a bodybuilder-slash-wrestler.
It appears that nothing Biff does measures up to Brute's expectations. "Nope. Could be better. Could be better," Brute growls and shakes his head dismissively as Biff does his best to strike the standard competition poses. Brute jots a few notes on his clipboard. "We're not just bodybuilders. We're not just wrestlers. We're bodybuilding wrestlers. We're hybrids." Without much conviction, Biff thanks him for the criticism., but the expression on Brute's face indicates that the veteran bodybuilding wrestler sees the BGE heartthrob as a hopeless case. "What you're bringing right now ain't cutting it," Brute says. The scowl on his face shows how little he thinks of Biff's double biceps pose. "Squeeze it. Peak it up," he tells him, while his eyes say that the kid just doesn't have what it takes.
"You're not listening is the thing," Brute voices his frustration with an exasperated sigh. The pupil looks more and more dejected with each pointer. Arms, back, pecs, thighs â?? to hear Brute tell it, Biff is in terrible shape. Then, after seven minutes of putting up with Farrell's rank amateurism, Baynard bludgeons Biff's midsection with his thigh three times out of annoyance: "People don't appreciate when I'm trying to help them!" The beatdown begins, and make no mistake, Brute delivers a bravura performance, as full of nuance as any we've seen delivered in the square circle.
At first Biff does not fight back, taking the licking as if this is what it takes to improve. Brute scrapes the youngster's eyelids against the top rope. Then he chokes him against it as Biff's face turns deeper and deeper shades of purple. If this is what "a firm hand" means, heaven help the kid. Biff absorbs over 20 minutes of physical on top of verbal abuse, without once trying to protect himself, much less strike back at his trainer-slash-assailant. Brute tears at Biff's mouth and nose in the most brutal ways imaginable, with an almost constant downpour of closed-fist blows. By the midpoint of this "lesson," both bodies shimmer with sweat. Rarely has corporal punishment looked this sexy-scary.
The question is how much of this can Biff Farrell take? What are the limits of human endurance? Will he never lose his patience and fight back? And has Brute Baynard totally lost his senses? Maybe, but what a performance! Squash jobs don't often come as undiluted or as riveting as this one!
