The opening shot reminds us of what a specimen of manly pulchritude Kip Sorell is. He stretches, and the outlines of abdominals, ribs, raised nipples, and iliac furrow stir up fantasies of ancient Greek palestrae. We think, "Too bad such an Adonis must be demolished." Austin Cooper approaches the ring in a black leather vest, clearly a badass, whose own beauty is hard to overlook. Like most heels, he grumbles about the sorry lot of pretty boys BG East books him to wrestle. He gets right up in Kip's face. Unintimidated, Kip shoves him, not once but twice. Cooper charges, and Sorell slams him down with an arm drag. Miffed, Cooper rises and comes at Kip again. Kip scoops him up, slams him hard, and transfixes him in a seated surfboard.
We know the fire and drive Kip brings at the start of the match cannot last long. We have seen this sort of thing before. There is no way Sorrell can defeat Cooper, but a pretty boy with grit makes for a more poignant demolition in the end. Kip refuses to hold back and accept his fate, and we admire that. But one look at Austin, red-faced and in peak condition, and we know Kip is definitely going down, like it or not. Austin muscles free of the surfboard and reverses. He dismisses Kip's opening volley as mere luck and shifts to a full nelson, yanking Kip to his feet.
Kip flails and grunts, refusing to cry uncle. Austin rides him like a broncobuster. His back on the mat now, Austin scissors Sorell's waist while maintaining the nelson hold. The Adonis clutches the middle rope, vainly hoping to break the hold. Cooper rolls to the center of the ring, carrying Kip with him. Bending Kip's back over one thigh, Austin pummels the arched midsection with his other leg. Though racked with pain, Sorrell won't give up the struggle. The heat rising off the entwined bodies is almost tangible. Austin then chokes Skip against the middle rope, and he still refuses to submit.
Austin weaves Kip between ropes, bending him backwards, and pummels the chest mercilessly. "Not all that, eh?" Austin says, rankled that Sorrell refused to bow to his control from the start. "What are you, then?" He forces Skip to face himself in the mirror. "See that agony? Why don't you give up?" "No!" Kip answers, defiantly. Austin hurls him back to the center of the ring for more punishment, his shoulders now glistening with sweat.
Then, a third of the way through the battle, Kip miraculously manages a reversal and pins the heavier wrestler in a three-count! Exultant, Sorrell bounds across the ring, arms raised in victory. If you're thinking Austin will acquiesce and admit to Kip's superior prowess, you know nothing about Austin Cooper. Give and take raises the energy level of the ensuing fight, but you have to wonder how long Kip can coast on this one sudden and out-of-nowhere triumph. The last half of the match is intense with two strong wrestlers throwing their full weight into an electrifying contest, climaxing in one of the most perfectly executed backbreakers in recent memory and ending with the loser ensnared in the ropes, choked out with Austin's leather vest! This is classic BG East mayhem, delivered by two of our hottest stars!
