Lunch Break: Battle for Alpha-Beast
We now rejoin the program already in progress. Austin Cooper has Biff Farrell in a headlock and is angrily dragging him towards the BG East ring. He releases the hold and clobbers Biff in the gut, buying himself enough time to grab a trash container to hurl at Biff's head. Biff staggers and falls facedown on the ring apron. Austin grabs him by the nape and throws him through the ropes and into the ring. Austin follows, applying a chinlock then a side headlock on the burly hunk. Biff drives his elbow into Austin's ribs, securing his release from Cooper's tight grip. Biff's recovery and reversal are sudden and fiery. The guy looks fantastic. He carries his righteous indignation beautifully.
The match is less one-sided than usual for the Hunkbash series. We have two hunks in the ring, both men stoutly built and well-muscled, both well acquainted with the savage spectacle of BGE ring wrestling. What brought them to this high pitch of rage is less important than their no-holds-barred tactics that cause the squared circle to roll like claps of thunder. (Biff is accused of quite literally eating Austin's lunch.) Their battle packs a measure of erotic heat because both men are young and handsome. Of the two, Biff is better known as a babyface, despite the fact that he's broken a few opponents on his way to this match. In almost every case, the opponents only got what they deserved. Austin has the looks of a babyface, but over the years he's played both sides of the divide and in recent years moved decidedly towards the dark side.
With Cooper cornered against the turnbuckle, Ferrell plies his midsection with shoulder thrusts bolstered by Biff's full weight, roughly equal to a small boulder. Each heave-ho smashes Austin's navel to his vertebrae, knocking every last thimble-full of air out of him. As Austin sags against the ropes, Biff wraps the guy's left arm around the top rope, damn near snapping his radius and ulnar bones. Agony is written all over Austin's face as Biff grits his teeth and puts his poundage into incapacitating his opponent. To escape, Austin rakes his fingernails across Biff's eyes. It's a cheap shot born out of self-preservation but rendered with a certain sadistic glee as well.
Biff staggers backwards, one hand covering his eyes. Austin grabs him from behind, heaves him up, and nails his ass to the mat. Knee between Farrell's shoulder blades, Cooper grabs both of his opponent's arms stretching them out and back, putting considerable stress on the shoulder muscles. Biff's face is contorted by the pain of it. It's hard to believe that so much harm could befall someone because he ate somebody else's protein bar. "Give up!" Austin demands, planting the sole of his left shoe to Biff's backbone. Farrell holds out, so Cooper switches tactics, pulling Biff to the ropes and choking him on the middle rope.
Just as Farrell's luck seems to have run out, he bounds back. Then, minutes later, he's plumb out of luck again. The give and take lasts up to the last thirteen minutes of the 32-minute match, when one man clearly emerges as the alpha-beast and completely (and we mean completely) destroys his adversary with a north-south chokehold.
