Here's our Jonny in his smooth-chested, super-cocky period. Like Picasso's, Jonny Firestorm's career divides into distinctive periods. His body and body of work trace his stylistic evolution at BG East. This is not the period of The Contract 6, when Jonny threw $20 at soon-to-be-pink-slipped Brad Rochelle for a one-sided squash job. Here, somewhat later in his career, clean-shaven and hair cut close to the scalp, he arrives late and casually slings his knee into Jayden Mayne's gut, not even offering him a crumpled single in exchange. Jayden collapses. A stomp between the shoulders keeps him down on the mat. Jonny rolls the new kid over to clutch his neck at the Adam's apple.
Jayden resists, feebly, only to find himself in direr straits, clamped between Jonny's smooth thighs in a body-scissors. Jonny arches, intensifying the pressure to Jayden's midsection. He pummels the youngster's chest. Jayden tries to fight back, only to quickly find himself pinned to the mat, Jonny's knee pads restraining both arms as Jonny batters the chest some more. "You gonna play fair? You gonna play fair?" Jonny taunts Jayden. He says "fair" like it's a dirty word. "C'mon. Go for it." Jayden bucks Jonny off him, but he can't move fast enough to escape Jonny's paralyzing surfboard stretch. "I give," Jayden grunts, and Jonny releases the hold but can't resist aiming an elbow drop to his young opponent's chest. Enough is never enough for hot-tempered Jonny.
Firestorm quickly follows up with a barrage of body strikes, while Jayden writhes on the mat helplessly. Jonny orders him to get up. Jayden is barely on his feet before Jonny threads him through the ring ropes, then kneels, hands clutching Jayden's jaw, then stands, bludgeoning Jayden's chest, then plants his foot to Jayden's lower back again for another excruciating stretch. Firestorm delivers seemingly endless elaborations on the torture, interlacing elements of the bow-and-arrow stretch and stomach claw hold. Now check your clocks, fans, because Jonny's just warming up, fewer than six minutes into the demolition. Jayden has just begun to suffer.
There's not an inch of Jayden Mayne's body left unscathed. Jonny is meticulous in his demolition of the guy. Keep in mind that Jayden has done nothing to Jonny, not one thing, even in self-defense. He's too overwhelmed by Jonny's constant pummeling to even think about self-preservation. Maybe it's the kid's own fault because he suffers brilliantly, well above par for the fresh new meat Jonny seeks in the BG East ring. If you're going to get the shit knocked out of you, you might as well be tops at it. A stunningly perfect demolition.
If a piledriver is what you want to see, you won't have to wait until Christmas for it, and Jonny follows up with a completely gratuitous choke-out, too. As cool as McConaughey, Jonny calls the Boss on his cell and reports his victory. He starts to leave the ring, but he just can't give up on tormenting Jayden a little bit further. He scoops up the jobber, who is a mere ten-percent conscious at best, and executes one last bone-crunching body slam. It's no wonder most BGE fans view Jonny Firestorm as the GOAT, and in the end, he hasn't even broken a sweat. They don't make them any tougher or meaner or hotter than our Jonny.
