CJ Parker’s debut in the WrestleShack against muscle stud Sandro made everyone stand up and take notice. Despite the weight and strength disadvantage, CJ fought hard, absorbed some intense punishment and duly earned the right to a follow-up match—this time in the Gazebo and against no less a formidable opponent, Jonny Firestorm! It seems The Boss actually was testing the young man’s desire and resolve, as is often his wont—fully expecting the rookie to back down. Instead, CJ's eyes lit up, he widely grinned and replied, “Cool! When?”
“Take it to him", The Boss instructs Jonny before sending him down to the gazebo with a proprietary slap on the butt. "Let's see what’s he really made of.” As soon as Jonny eyes his opponent, he shakes his head dismissively. “This is going to be too damned easy,” he says as he climbs the steps and watches CJ stretching. “Do you even go to the gym, kid? Your legs are about the same size as my arms!”
“Probably,” CJ replies with his boyish grin. CJ wants to get better, and knows that the only way to improve your skill is by wrestling opponents that are more skilled. CJ wants to learn, CJ loves to wrestle, and CJ is a actually a big fan of young Jonny’s—even though he keeps his mouth shut and doesn’t say anything. That wouldn’t be cool—and more than anything else, CJ wants to be part of the BGEast fraternity. Even despite losing that first match, he’s got big dreams now—and if he could somehow manage to beat THE Jonny Firestorm, well, that would pretty much mean instant stardom, wouldn’t it?
