The previous match is undeniably an act of vengeance. The match here is harder to interpret. Some part of Ash DeLeon probably wants to punish his boyfriend for having wrestled Mason Brooks (and liked it). The offense was compounded by the intimate confines of the Wrestleshack. However, the tone of this match is different. It's no less rough and rowdy than Ash's vengance on Mason. It may be even more reckless! The ring gives the guys room to fight, but this battle seems more about working out a bump in the road of their relationship than about punishment. Outright fighting may be better than masking their feelings under promises that resolve nothing. The talking cure isn't for everybody. Sometimes two guys need to go physical. Sometimes letting it all out in the squared circle can bring two men closer together.
Our story starts as Ash DeLeon guides blindfolded boyfriend Freddy Campbell to the BG East ring. It's date night, and Ash wants Freddy and him to spend it in the squared circle. Freddy complies, apparently intrigued. Shedding their street clothes and the blindfold, the two face off. Ash gets Freddy in a side headlock and forces him to the mat, simultaneously slamming his knee to Campbell's crotch. Campbell cries out in pain. Ash kisses him on the lips and splits Campbell's thighs out wide. Freddy tries to thrust free but fails. Nevertheless, he holds out, refusing to submit ... for now. Ash spanks his boyfriend's ass and balls and transitions to a body scissors. He alternates between kissing and thrashing. "I only do this because I love you," he says.
More than once in this match, Ash professes his love for Freddy. Freddy replies, "I can feel it." Now it's Freddy's turn to take control. He adopts his boyfriend's tactics, and within seconds it's now Ash who wails and whimpers. When Freddy gets Ash in a pendulum swing, Ash submits almost immediately. "Clearly, someone's been teaching you how to work the nuts properly," says Ash, then adds, "but you still have so much to learn." Might Ash's comment refer to Freddy and Mason Brooks's sexy rendezvous in Wrestleshack 27? And with that he turns the tables on Campbell, pushing his upper body between the bottom and middle ropes, tying Freddy's legs into a knot, and hiking the back of Freddy's trunks between his ass cheeks. From start to finish, the fight walks a tightrope between revenge and reconciliation.
Of course, here at BG East we think a hardcore wrestling match between lovers is the height of romance. Some couples wrestle as foreplay. Some couples wrestle to settle matters and get past their petty squabbling. The line between making out and kicking ass is slim for DeLeon and Campbell. Passion and punishment alternate throughout this 36-minute showdown. The lovers take their time, flinching and nuzzling, savoring every second of both forms of body contact. The measured pace is the most obvious indication that the wrestlers are into the sensuous side of pro-style wrestling. Each man's high tolerance for pain signals his faith in his partner's love for him and the wild arousal they both show. The match puts them in a zone entirely their own, excluding everything - and every wrestler - that exists beyond the ring ropes.
