Battle of the V's: Vicious Versus Varsity
Here's a fight to make you bust a nut, even if you think you've seen everything. It's a classic match of good versus evil, innocence versus experience, and blunt bangs versus buzz cut. First, there's fan favorite Cameron Mathews, perpetually youthful, looking like he just stepped out of a 1950s sitcom. Mathews has got to be the hardest working and most durable wrestler not just at BG East but anywhere and everywhere. The man is professional to the core, good for clean, no-nonsense contests based on the rules of scientific wrestling. Then, facing him from the opposite corner, there's Kid Vicious, a velociraptor in skinhead punk clothing. "Nasty" doesn't even begin to cover Vicious's M.O. The man humiliates his victims, toying with their egos, targeting their weak spots, and then he all but skins them alive. Kid Vicious knows no rules except "to the victor go the spoils." For Vicious, the job's not done until an opponent is under his thumb.
Usually a setup like this one is pretty straightforward - a squash job, pure and simple. It is something like that, to be sure, and then some, but there's nothing pure or simple about it. Cameron knows what he's up against, even though these two wrestlers have never appeared on the same card. KV's reputation precedes him - everyone else at BG East bears his imprint to some extent, some irreparably. Cam has talked to the men who have faced Vicious in the past and taken notes on how to survive and perhaps turn the tables on this consummate Ultra Heel. He has studied dvds of the original bootboy brawler's previous bouts - close to five dozen in all, mostly wins. He knows that Vicious is one of the trickiest and riskiest wrestlers on the BGE roster. He knows that if he lets down his guard - even for a second or two - his ass is going to be in a heap of hurt. But, after weeks of preparation, Cameron feels certain he's ready to wipe Kid Vicious off the map.
As Mathews approaches the ring, he has a look of grim determination in his eyes. His jaw set and his nerve steeled, he knows what he's got to do - worst or get worsted. KV awaits. Never satiated, never satisfied, Vicious is perpetually hungry for what only ruthless aggression can bring him - the hapless groans of a new victim. Like every other heel here, he's been itching for a piece of Cameron since the kid first showed up at the BGE compound, and, now, at last, the fresh-faced babyface is here for the taking. Mathews, psyched and ready to roll, takes a deep breath and ducks between the ropes. As he faces the steely eyes of perhaps the baddest heel he's ever had to wrestle, he realizes there is no turning back now. And Vicious just smirks and licks his lips in horny anticipation.
