Cocky Kieran Humbles the Comeback Kid
Kieran warms up on the mats, his singlet sweeping around the curves of his chest, creasing and rippling over his washboard abs. But his muscles aren't the only thing that have swollen over time: his ego has, too. When Chris enters and admits, "I've been waiting for this a long time," Kieran's response begins with "You're going to have to wait a little longer" so he can further flaunt his physique, and culminates in the first of many cracks about Chris' age relative to Kieran's youth. An opening collar 'n elbow lock up is a stalemate as the experienced vet backsteps to avoid Kieran's sweep. But a second leads to a test of strength on the mat with Chris on top. Each wrestler so often the victim, it's a rare opportunity for both to display some grappling skills, until Kieran catches Chris with a rear headscissors. Emboldened by the edge, Kieran cockily shucks the straps of his singlet, his torso beginning to glisten with early sweat. Chris exposes his own still-impressive torso before locking on a full nelson that has his baby-faced but foul-mouthed foe cussing. Friendly competition fades when cocky Kieran subjects Chris to a scissors counter and a rude round of face sitting flexing. And when Chris rips his singlet off in retaliation, instead of being embarrassed, bare-assed Kieran enjoys it, leading to another crotch-to-face headscissors punctuated with bodyblows. Having had it with Kieran's unexpected willingness to bring pro punches to the mat, Chris commands, "meet me in the ring!" And the stage is set for a full-fledged grudge match...
