Only at the midpoint of the match, and both wrestlers are already stripped bare! This is summer's bounty! Signs of strain and fatigue appear on Christian Taylor's face and in his body movements, but just when it looks like the match may be over for him, a shot of adrenaline gets him back up and rumbling again. His attacks become more determined and careless of risk. Gil, on the other hand, glistening with perspiration, still seems to possess boundless vitality.
At one point, Gil forces an exhausted and irritable Christian to pose for him. On his knees, as Christian pops a double bicep pose, Gil punches him in the gut! Playfully sadistic as a cat with an injured mouse, Gil torments his prey, enjoying his dominance over the taller, more experienced wrestler, while beaming with what appears to be genuine innocence. While Christian is prostrate on the mat, shaking loose the cobwebs and catching his breath, Gil leaps up and dangles off the horizontal beam, his bright, naked body swinging blithely over his panting adversary's head. In another carefree spurt of inventiveness, Gil takes a seat on Christian, who's on his hands and knees, trying to get back up on his feet. The sinewy Brazilian dishes up humiliation and pain, thoughtlessly, just for the sheer joy in expending the energy. Christian has faced a lot of competitors in his years at BG East, but Gil is something else, an ebullient force of nature with a bent for destruction as surprising and potentially devastating as a sudden summer storm.
