Our homage to a classic: 'Friday the 31st' a Wrestling Parody
The campground near our lake has for too long been abandoned. Eager to change that, Kirk Donahue and Seon Cruz take on the roles of Camp Counselors as BG East attempts to reopen the space not far from its headquarters. The weather looks good as they prepare the camp site. After a hard day cleaning up crumbling cabins in the woods, and making sure all will be ready for the WrestleCamp atmosphere, Kirk finally reveals to Seon the reason there hasn't been a wrestling camp for so long: the unfortunate drowning, during a lucha libre show the campground put on decades ago! Many think the campground is haunted! Seon scoffs at such a tale. Kirk is a little skittish, with each crack of a branch in the woods sending a shudder up his spine.
But on such a sunny day, impervious to doom, eager Camp Counselor wrestling trainers Seon and Kirk decide to take a break and hit the mats themselves, newly laid out a safe distance, but within view of, the water. They playfully spar and grapple, soon stripping off their camp counselor shorts and gear and revealing nicely packed bikini trunks, the kind of gear one might wear in the pro wrestling event of yore. And even as the sun starts to dim, a distant thunderstorm can be heard approaching, closer and closer.
Wrapped up in exchanging their wrestling skills in an increasingly hard fought match, the two ripped wrestle stars hardly notice the lightning flashes, rumbling, and mysterious shadow that appears to rise from the waters of the nearby lake. They clamp on some of their best moves, so similar to pro wrestling, since each is a such skilled practitioner of all styles of fighting: boston crabs, suplexes, tight holds, chokes, leglocks. Exactly why they were hired! Their eagerness, and future, take a sudden turn when Seon goes a little too hard and badly injures Kirk's leg. With no one to help and Kirk limping, Seon has to run back to the distant camp buildings for first aid materials before the storm closes in, leaving Kirk alone and unable to flee. What comes next will chill you to the bone, as horrifying death by holds, chokes and bone-breaking backbreakers brings an untimely end to each counselor facing the horror alone in turn. The undead apparition, lake weeds dripping from his masked head, still wears his trunks from the long ago lucha fight and his powerful, deadly muscles are intact as he stalks and finishes the match against his terrified opponents. The entire doomed dream of re-opening the WrestleCamp is drowned. Only one character in this horror remains standing at the end, and he's not satisfied!
