"How Do You Like Your Boy, Now?"
Anticipation was building for months leading up to the Wrestlefest Live show in New York City. Kirk Donahue had been announced early on as one of the headliners for the event. The seasoned indy pro wrestler was well known to the live audience. Although Kirk started his career as a juicy jobber that heels relished crushing to pieces, more recently, he had proven himself to be a dangerous competitor that enjoyed dabbling on the dark side of wrestling outside the rules. He always wrestles like he's got a chip on his shoulder, and intentionally being left in the dark as to the identity of his opponent for this live match had festered under the pretty boy's skin.
When the ring announcer revealed that Kirk's opponent was none other than the underground wrestling legend, Z-Man, the audience goes absolutely wild. Few wrestlers command the passionate following and unconditional adulation that Z-Man does. Even after battling back from a major injury that knocked him out of competition for a long while, Z-Man makes his return climbing into the ring in his perpetually perfect condition, tanned, impeccably toned, and immediately reigniting the lusts of a venue packed with adoring fans!
As Z-Man is soaking in the applause with all eyes on him, Kirk doesn't take kindly to being upstaged. He attacks the popular pretty boy from behind, and Z-Man is immediately on the defensive. "What do you have to say for your boy now," Kirk demands of the stunned fans as he chops Z-Man's meaty pecs and rings the handsome hunk out hard in a rear naked choke. He plants the stunned hunk in a tree of woe and stomps the shit out of Z-Man's balls. All that hype and drama of the triumphant return of Z-Man brings out a cruelty in Kirk that's darker and more bitter than we've seen before.
However, this is Z-Man. His staying power in homoerotic wrestling is legendary. His tenacity in the ring and capacity for bouncing back from a severe beating is totally on brand. He drives a boot to Kirk's face that smashes that cocky smirk right off. He battles back from one near fall after another, snatching victory out of Kirk's chomping mouth and turning the tables again and again. When Kirk's momentum seems unstoppable, Z-Man feasts on the roaring of the impassioned audience chanting his name and muscles back into contention.
The action spills out of the ring, as Kirk's nefarious brutality crashes again and again into Z-Man's impenetrable tenacity. Every kick out and stubborn refusal by Z-Man to submit dials the fury and brutality hotter. The final 3-count nearly brings the house down, with roaring fans knowing that they're watching history in the making.
