Not Even in Your Wildest Dreams

You've got to hand it to Forrest Taylor. He's fearless in the face of overwhelming odds. "You don't look that big," he claims when he finds Apollo working out in the ring. "I'm not really that worried." However, Apollo really is that big. The indy pro wrestler dwarfs Forrest with massive, dominating muscles and a snarling contempt. "You're like a little chihuahua," Apollo snarks back, not taking his eyes off of his own impressive muscles. "A lot of bark, no bite."

Forrest has never met long odds he's afraid to take. He bounces off the ropes and careens into Apollo like a missile. The massive indy pro wrestler doesn't budge. Forrest flies off of him like a rubber ball bouncing off of a brick wall. "I don't know how big you think you are when you're looking in the mirror, but you're a pipsqueak," Apollo snarls, scraping Forrest off the mat and starting a long, brutal session of pounding the relative lightweight into pulp. He is a hunk of a different size, and he's clearly outmatched.

Apollo puts on a pro wrestling clinic, delivering devastatingly superior strength and showing off one devastating hold after another. Abdominal stretches, Boston crabs, and a long, lingering, spine-snapping over-the-knee backbreaker absolutely devastate Forrest. "You don't know who you're messing with," the red-headed lightweight stud insists, even while he's choking down a scream of pain contorted like taffy in a brutal bow and arrow. Forrest is as notorious for his stubbornness as he is for his overinflated impression of his wrestling prowess. He has no real answer to the professional hit-job bearing down on him from every angle, but he defies Apollo's order to submit. "Before we're done today, you're going to learn how to quit properly," Apollo promises.

Forrest, however, doesn't learn so good. Certainly, he's reduced to a weeping mess of submissions, but he keeps stubbornly fighting every dominating, iron-clad submission Apollo puts him in. Apollo declares the lesson learned only when he's knocked Forrest out cold. "Maybe in your dreams you can win," the indy pro wrestler snorts, leaving the ring.

Indeed, in Forrest's dreams, he's having his way with Apollo. "How does it feel," dream-Forrest demands to know, crushing Apollo's head trapped in his figure-4 leg choke. "You're not as tough as you look," Forrest finds the courage to taunt, considering this is his dream fantasy. But even in Forrest's dream, he's staring up at an awesome challenge in trying to defeat the mighty Apollo. "You think even in your dreams you're good enough to beat me?," the dream-version of the indy pro wrestler snarls defiantly.

Can Forrest manage the victory even with the home court advantage of battling it out inside his own subconscious? Does he stand a chance of living the fantasy in his dreams, or is this just another brutal nightmare about to come crashing down on him?
