Awesomely Artful Technique Versus Raucous Raw Power
This was precisely the type of impressive and withering assault of which Morgan Cruise feared Eli Black was capable. No, no, it would NOT do for an an ambitious and aspiring rookie heel wannabe to get flattened - and even potentially KO'd - by another and much lighter rookie making his BG East debut. Imagine what Lon Dumont would think and say about his charge's failure to heed his advice and failure to profit from his "training", not to mention The Boss who has clearly invested some.... um, energy...in Morgan Cruise. No, the young, sexy hotshot Eli Black's sudden threatening resurgence - as well as his vision quest for glory - must be immediately truncated and summarily extinguished!
After suffering a humiliating volley of precision blows, expressly contrived to wear him down, Morgan Cruise hunkers low and charges like a bull. The combination of Cruise's burly build, gravity, and the force of impact flattens Eli Black to the mat. With surprising speed and enthusiasm, Cruise straddles Eli's waist and starts pummeling the kid's eight-pack. Eli squawks as Morgan's iron fist batters his carefully gym-toned breadbasket. Indeed, it would have been a damned shame had Black's ivory-white grille of perfectly honed abdominals remained untested - and with arms like steel pistons, Morgan Cruise could not be better suited to test their stamina. Bang, baby, bang! Drill, baby, drill!
"There's a reason ... wrestlers ... wear kneepads." Cruise speaks again like the voice of doom, and the slim, barefoot former amateur star and aspiring MMA fighter looks sorry he is so underdressed. Eli helplessly clings to the bottom rope as Morgan wails away at his pink, exposed flesh. Cruise plucks him off the ropes and hurls him against the turnbuckle, determined to smash through Black's pretty solar plexus and, so it would seem, clean through his spine as well. This is the kind of brutalizing combat you have come to expect from BG East. It's one thing to give fans the usual drill of fist colliding with gut, the action repeated ad infinitum. It's quite another to give them what we have here: forty-five minutes of primal, mesmerizing entertainment that touches hardcore fans to the core and builds momentum to an arduous and momentous climax. Spectacular performances.
