The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall
Maxx Danno doesn't look particularly impressed as he saunters into the gym in his red singlet and finds Karl Volk warming up. The two big guys size each other up and no words are needed or transpire before they lock horns. But body language is all that's needed here as skilled mat-grappler Volk gains the upper hand, keeping Danno close to the ground. A manly tap to the German's broad back is Danno's signal of submission, and Volk releases him immediately, keeping this match on the up and up - at least for now!
In Fall Two, Danno goes beyond the amatuer wrestling lexicon and rules, locking Volk into a full nelson, arrogantly riding and debilitating the big German in his royal blue singlet and matching wrestling shoes. However, Maxx does not get enough leverage to warrant a submission and Volk flips the larger Danno off him. Karl applies a nelson variation of his own - with his legs - and tries to hold him long enough to stick the pin! Unfortunately it's not enough to keep the tank-like Danno in place as he scrambles out of the hold. Maxx bends Volk's leg back like a wishbone, aiming Karl's foot toward his head! Proving again that he's willing to step outside the boundaries of amateur wrestling, Danno grabs a handfull of Volk's very tempting blond mohawk for additional leverage and demands that he "Tap!" but the resilient and very stubborn Volk refuses give in.
Hmm, maybe a sleeper hold will do the trick! Danno takes control again and his neck constrictor begins to deliver Volk to slumberland. Don't get to comfortable though, because cunning Karl is not ready for bedtime, just not quite yet! he fights back hard and cradles Maxx, locking his arms around the big tank's head and leg, pinning him tight against the mat. "You give?" he asks, smiling and knowing full well he's clearly in control here and a pin will not suffice without an admission of submission. Danno taps out with his hand against Volk's tightly trapping forearm. Volk climbs on top of his opponent, straddles him and arrogantly enjoys his prize. Clearly annoyed, Danno squirms, unsuccessfully, to escape out from underneath. Finally, content with his triumph, Karl gets up and saunters over to the other side of the mat, his wrestling booties squeaking against the resilite, then squats down down and watches Maxx try to catch his breath, Danno's discomfort the result of his own masterful handiwork. Now it's getting hot. Now it's getting personal....
