When Stars Collide!
A loss in the ring, in theory, isn't a disgrace for a wrestler as long as you learn and profit from the experience. With both stars at the top of the BG pay scale, win or lose profit is guaranteed. But giving your back to an infamously treacherous heel? Maybe Alexi has a learning disability? Cole follows up on the forearm smashes with some vicious stomps few men, even big boys like Alexi, could get up from -- but Alexi does just that! Maybe Alexi HAS learned!
He takes the battle to the cunning Cole, moving through a rapid-fire display of holds culminating in a breath-taking, rib-crushing cross body scissors! But his next move backfires when Cole stops him dead in his tracks with a cowardly low blow. Cole concentrates his assault on Alexi's lower back capping it off with his patented spine-cracking speciality back-to-back bow and arrow. Smelling blood in the water, Cole follows up with a bodyslam -- somehow Alexi staggers off to a corner -- not the smartest of moves because now he's cornered and trapped! Cole launches into an all-out assault on Alexi's abs! Like a cat with a mouse, Cole toys with the Russian before finishing him off. But Alexi hasn't come this far up the BG ladder or traveled all the way from New England to Florida to have all his dreams dissolve just minutes into the match. An impressive suplex slam leaves Cole twitching in the center of the ring -- and after some more back torture, it's Alexi standing triumphant mid-ring!
Cole, though, isn't called the rattlesnake for nothing. Another low blow once again evens the playing field! Back and forth this wild war rages -- and just when you think one wrestler is finished, he somehow manages to find the wherewithal to take control once again. Is it FINALLY Alexi's turn on the dais? Or will Cole chalk up yet another check in the win column? They fight on until the amazing -- and brutal -- end.
