Give and Take
Let it not be said, though, that Ty Garrison doesn't know how to take as well as give. Menard squeezes several submissions out of the alpha stud, at one point backing him up to a wall-sized mirror and tormenting his abs, striking them with his closed fists, a glint of malevolent glee in his own deep, dark eyes. In this way, Jean Luc wears tough Ty down one degree at a time. Then he claws at Ty's invitingly meaty pecs, twisting them till the soft-spoken sadist cries out for mercy. But Jean Luc is slow to show any mercy at all, taking malevolent pleasure and his sweet time before releasing Ty from his clutches.
Menard no sooner frees him, though, than Garrison springs back at him, and the two start trading punches to the chest and gut - the exchange of blows crackling like popcorn as it accelerates. Connoisseurs of the gentle art of the gut punch will appreciate the finesse these two bring to the performance, their skin brightening in truer shades of pink, each new blush almost identical in shape and size to the knuckles that put them there. Gut punching is, of course, much more than fighting. It is an exercise for bringing out the hardness in the other man. A punch to the gut wears a fighter down, sure, but it also toughens him. Garrison and Menard trade blows as if they are both trying to take the other man down, holding back nothing in the velocity of the jab, and to bring up the 'man' inside the man - just to see the other guy's true mettle up close.
At one point Ty has Jean Luc on his back, the tall man's arm hammerlocked behind his head and Ty's fingers digging into his balls. Ty tightens his grip on the nads to make Menard moan and arch up, raising his midsection so that Garrison can release his hold on the balls long enough to slam his fist to Jean Luc's belly. The punch smashes Menard back to the mat, and Ty goes for the balls again. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. After more than a minute of this exquisite torture, Ty bends down to whisper, "The way you want it, yeah?"
The action never seems to falter. The submissions glide almost seamlessly into further combat, as neither man seems satisfied with mere domination. Garrison, especially, seems to want to break his opponent, to subdue and tame Menard's wild and independent spirit. With a cold and steady patience, he subjugates Jean Luc, bending him (literally) to his will. The economy and finesse of his overthrow of the other man's arrogance, by gradual yet stinging degrees, are fascinating to watch, like watching a spider meticulously spinning a silken shroud around its prey. Exquisite agony.
But the ultimate goal of all this aggression is intimacy. It's the intimacy of conquest, to be sure, though no less tender for being unequal. Victor and vanquished embrace. The more brutal the fight, the more passionate the comradely alliance at the end. It's refreshing to see such heatedly aggressive matches end in a kiss - a sweet kiss that is returned, not abjectly endured, as the price of defeat. Lips almost touching again as the two warriors pant for breath, after a hard-fought battle. The quiet close of a furious storm.
