Darren knows a thing or two about wrestling even though he has mainly experienced it as a safe, innocent tussle between mates after a few too many pints. Sasha's animal aggression in the first fall is a reality check for the kid. Madison applies what he's learned of wrestling strategy, locking the tough bloke in a bodyscissors and squeezing hard, his firm thighs flexing round his opponent's waist. Sasha refuses to sell the young rookie's feeble hold on him and, instead, loudly mocks Darren's inability to hurt him as Sasha has oh so definitely done to Darren. "Is that all you got?" Sasha sneers. Nobody - most certainly not The Boss - told the big bruiser he was supposed to roll over and play dead for the pretty club kid, and he proceeds to teach cute Darren a lesson on exactly how much a proper wrestling hold is supposed to hurt.
Sasha is a perfect case of a man who does not know his own strength. To his way of thinking, he's just amusing himself with Madison, smacking him about like a cat toying with a ball of yarn. Playing the two against each other, The Boss expressly told Sasha NOT to pull his punches with Darren, in fact told him the youngster was ready and willing to take on some tough competition for a change. Sasha just wants to let off some steam. Is that so bad? Making grown men groan relaxes him after a hard day's work. Sure, he expected a bit more competition out of Madison. He's even a bit let down by how easily it is to knock the fight out of the kid. But does he let that disappointment quell his high spirits and ruin his good time? Hell no! So what if the kid's face starts turning a little blue after a long and strenuous choke? And how was he to know the cold shudder he feels shooting through the lad's lean body means perhaps he's pushing through some boundaries here?
Facing an opponent as hard, experienced, and sadistic as Sasha, Darren has only one recourse: fight dirty. But are desperate measures enough against a man as tough as Sasha? And has he waited too long before attempting that wild roundhouse punch or sneak attack from behind? Has Sasha already worn him down to the point that Darren cannot hope to turn the tide against him? Things look rather bleak for young pretty Darren Madison, that much is certain - and he's going to be feeling the effects of this face-off against a bigger, harder competitor for a long, long time.
