The Anatomy Lesson
Handsome Joey King has never looked better as he admires his budding beard and manly body in the ringside mirror. He's impatient for the arrival of his opponent, and he itches to put his chestnut-tan muscles to the task of beating somebody up. When Cap Landon arrives, Joey can't hide the disappointment. His young, pasty-fleshed opponent is less than three-quarters his size. "Where's the rest of you?" he quips, shaking his head in dismay. Cap claims to weigh 190 pounds, approximately King's weight. The bluff is so full of holes that Joey just raises his eyebrows and shrugs it off. He reassesses the situation, considering the entertainment value of chopping down a sapling like Landon.
After a ridiculously one-sided lockup, Joey offers the hungry rookie several handicaps. He closes his eyes for the second collar and elbow. Without even looking, he completely outmaneuvers Cap. He gives the kid a free shot, letting his defenses down just to see what the stringbean can do. He handily ducks under Cap's wild swing, reaffirming his advantage in ring knowhow. He gets down on all fours in the referee's position. "Break you in half!" Cap shouts exuberantly and wraps his slim arms around Joey's torso. He groans futilely, unable to make his opponent budge an inch. Joey just shakes his head.
Landon lacks nothing in enthusiasm and determination. He's just severely outclassed -- and outweighed! -- by his opponent. He tells Joey that he skipped his anatomy class at school to wrestle this match. Nobody knows he's here, not even his mother. With a crooked smile, Joey promises to teach Cap all about anatomy. He identifies parts of the human body before blasting away at the corresponding parts of Cap's body. What Joey does to the young man is vile but fun to watch. As the 10-minute mark approaches, Cap gets in one strong but ill-conceived elbow thrust to Joey's expansive middle. Joey feels it, but he's still on his feet, and now he's angry on top of everything else going wrong for Cap. Joey tosses Cap over one shoulder, his rock-hard traps grinding the small of Landon's back.
"Want me to call your mom?" King asks. "You don't have her number," Landon replies, trying to catch his breath. King tosses him into a corner and smirks: "I think everybody has her number." Backed against the turnbuckle, Landon's birdlike ribs receive King's shoulder full-force. The camera catches the agonized shock on Cap's face as the thrust echoes through the rest of his body. A minute later Cap grabs the opportunity to jump on King's back and apply a rear naked choke, his pale skinny thighs clamped to the big man's waist. "Jesus Christ," King exclaims, somewhat wearily. "Get the fuck off me." His tone is only slightly less distressed than if a mosquito had bit him. Joey droops as if succumbing to the choke, but he's toying with Landon, slamming backwards into the corner, where Cap snaps off like a pop-off lid.
Cap falls on his butt. "Back to your anatomy lesson," says Joey. "This is your sternum." Then he drives his heavy-soled boot to the target, three times. "This right here is your throat," he adds, grabbing the ropes with both hands and thrusting his foot to the adam's apple. Cap kicks spastically, his tongue hanging out of his mouth. As King backs off, Cap staggers to the adjacent corner. Joey follows and rests his knee against the back of the youngster's head, choking him against the middle rope. As the fight wears on, Joey is reluctant to accept Cap's submissions, maintaining a hold just a little bit longer to make sure the pain sinks in. In the final half of the match, King gets sloppy, and Landon seizes a few opportunities to reapply his one hope, the choke hold. At this point, it's obvious that only dumb luck can save Cap Landon's ass.
