Avid gamers Forrest and Freddy can't resist a new wrestling computer game that has customizeable avatars; the two BG East rookies find themselves molding their fighters right into their favorite BG East stars. Why not? Who would you choose? Let the digital fantasy begin!
Maybe the 'distance' of screen play will control Forrest's erotic side, allowing him to dominate, so this aspiring heel chooses his favorite BGE heel star, Kayden Keller - dressed in leopard print trunks and vest like Keller's mentor Kid Leopard! Freddy, joining Forrest on the couch, picks up his mini-controller and reveals not some superstar vet, but wildman rookie Lobo Gris. His Lobo is decked out in fur and canine teeth, wolf eyes glaring red: an intimidating version of Forrest's dream opponent from Wrestleshack 27! What mind games is Freddy playing already, choosing this energized fellow BGE rookie for a fight game?
While the game loads, the screen displays 'PRO TIPS' for the gamers: "Depleting your opponent's health bar will guarantee a pin or submission" And "Wrestlers have hidden special moves that can swing momentum in their favor." The players are ready to explore their reinvented fighters. Now we're in the world of their game match, the screen showing green health bars and heart-shaped icons for their '2 lives each' above. Kayden Keller confidently faces his cocky animallian opponent in the shiny BGE Arena. Both fighters seem supercharged with energy, now moved by the invisible players to attack, center-screen and ring.
"Wrestle!" giant letters explode as the bell rings and the two giants lock up. A missed kick and Lobo is brought into a dramatic single leg crab, then feels Kayden's nasty claw on his exposed crotch. All the holds seem bigger and more intense here! Yet with shocking strength, Lobo powers out and is soon smashing the superheel head first into the buckle in a full nelson! Surfboarded and double-clawed, face and balls, Kayden can barely get up before Lobo kicks him and his energy level drops him into danger territory and Lobo goes for the kill, landing his sheer, black trunks over Keller's face in a pin. "One, two, three!" the game's voice intones and Lobo howls in victory, arms upstretched! PRO TIP time.
Now down by one life, Kayden starts the reloaded next fall with one less item of gear. Brilliant! He's down to revealing leopard print jockstrap. Both health bars are RESET. Avatar Kayden presses hard for a comeback, but Lobo not only works over Keller's arm with twists and blows, he bites it with his razor teeth! His eyes blazing red, he truly is the 'wolf at the door' of Kayden's heel reign. Pressing a reversal advantage that fells his opponent, Kayden stomps Lobo's arms one by one, smashing those leather clad 'claws'. Then he scissors Lobo's head from behind to keep those teeth at bay.
"I'm gonna tame this wolf" Kayden confidently declares as Lobo's health halves. First trying to set up a crab, he shock catapults Lobo face first to the turnbuckle, then racks him until he's nearly out! Lobo bounces back with face busters, Lobo low blows, and an explosion of impressive gymnast moves and raking claws to Kayden's midsection. A piledriver finish and pin, "One, two, three!" and the game is tied. Each avatar has one life left...
These two ultimate versions battle out their players' frantic controller manipulations, and in the game there are few limits to what is possible. Keller throttles his opponent; Lobo rakes Kayden's screaming body with slicing claws. Repeated elbows to the crotch, sleeper holds, pounding and body splashes bring BGEast aggression to a new level, and with so much power differential at one point one wrestler has a glowing blast of special power 'poison' thrown across the ring at him, dropping him for more painful holds to come. This match ends in flaring muscles and, outside its digital domain, flaring tempers. "You cheated! In a real wrestling match, I coulda won!"
"If that's the case, then come on!" The players are not done. Time for a real round, Forrest vs Freddy!
