Rookie Rites or Getting Rooked?
Patrick and the Z-Man start to get under each other's skin as the match continues. They taunt one another relentlessly. Patrick has two strategies clearly in mind: put the Z-man's stunning physique on display and mercilessly beat those rippled abs and bulging pecs. After a spread eagle submission, repeatedly pounding his fist into the Z-Man's exposed torso, Patrick taunts the stud. "A body like this was made to suffer!"
The action continues to get hotter and harder as both wrestlers test each other's physical endurance. The Z-Man proves the point that he's no rookie pushover, throwing down some astonishing wrestling technique which will make his many fans marvel and make fans out of those who regarded him principally as a pretty boy. The submissions turn increasingly aggressive, leaving both men nursing muscles and joints torqued dangerously too far. Patrick takes every opportunity to pound his fists into the Z-Man's pecs and abs, turning the hard hunk's muscles bright red from the repeated blows. Fed up with the concentrated assault, the Z-Man counters with an punishing abdominal stretch, managing to tie up his taller opponent and then beat Patrick's core until the veteran screams in submission.
Both wrestlers offer crumbs of grudging respect, but with so much on the line for both this match was destined to turn nasty. Gradually but inexorably, they begin to bend the rules of gentlemanly combat. Punishing holds are sustained well beyond the point of securing a submission. Schoolboy pins turn from domination to humiliation, as the Z-Man finds Patrick's crotch resting on his chin. "Cozy there?" Patrick taunts before reaching behind him to pound his fists, again and again, into the muscle boy's very inviting torso.
A low-blow sets the stage for the climax of this match. Both wrestlers are seeing red, as they exchange brutal bear hugs. "I'm going to break your ribs," the Z-Man snarls darkly. Patrick's bearhug rides and crushes Z-Man from behind. They battle ferociously for a final, decisive victory, until one man is flat on his back, unconscious, his face slapped repeatedly in a lingering, lascivious 10-count schoolboy pin. The victor flexes, congratulating himself, but there's no ignominy for the loser: he's given the best performance of his career and acquitted himself nobly in one of the most spectacular, dramatic and punishing BG East matches ever recorded - certainly an early odds-on favorite for match of the year!
