You can perhaps forgive Donnie Drake for being full of himself. He's in peak physical condition, and the whole world seems to be revolving around him these days. He was, for all intents and purposes, the undisputed STAR of a certain popular reality TV show about aspiring professional wrestlers. He didn't win the contest part of the show (though he should have...) but he definitely won the hearts and minds of the viewers and reviewers! His killer good looks, that winning smile, that heelish smirk, his consummate skill, his hot physique, and his powerful personality all made for some great television viewing and for BG East fans it created an even bigger star than he was before.
The experience has definitely amped up Donnie's confidence. He struts to the ring, not saying a word, the door slamming ominously behind him. A black sheet of fabric wrapped around his broad shoulders (What the hell is it? A cape?), gold(!) boots, industrial black leather trunks, flashy metallic gladiatorial shin and forearm guards, a stern, expressionless mask of a face. What an entrance! What a statement! And what sinister charisma! Here's the climax of Drake's evolution at BG East over the years - first as the grinning, game-for-anything boy-next-door, then as the heavy-handed heel with a heaping side of sadism, and now this - evil incarnate, darkness visible, really really bad news.
If Charron's mass triggers thoughts of high suspension bridges and cooling towers at power plants, Drake's hard lean look makes us think "shark." We're not just talking about the shark-fin haircut and the shark-skin trunks either! Drake's streamlined hard body ripples with lean muscle, almost visibly tingling with currents of electricity. It's the heavy brow, deep-set eyes, and jutting chin. It's that mouth packed with flashing white teeth! It's the fluid stylized movement, graceful as a dance, yet menacing. Donnie doesn't waste any time getting down to business. The exotic gear lures Braden in, ready to mock, but he doesn't get the chance to mock. Donnie doesn't give him the chance. Braden, it's already clear, does not have a chance. Not with a boner bona-fide STAR!
