Now it's crystal clear Blaine Janus can at least hold his own against Kieran Dunne, alone, but this was not the deal he proposed. He boasted that he could take on Kieran and Eddy Rey together, and now Eddy is chomping at the bit to get a taste of the cocky ex-Navy wrestler. Knowing the bear hug is a hold that favors bigger and more muscular athletes, Kieran slaps his chest up to Blaine's, wraps the guy in his python-like arms, and then again bashes him back against the wall. Suddenly Blaine looks dazed, disoriented, and seriously rumpled, and Kieran drops him like a wet dishrag at Eddy's feet. Eddy quickly takes over. He applies a reverse bearhug, his hard, thick forearms crushing Blaine's ribcage, as his midsection thrusting up against the upstart's back. Blaine whimpers, palely, and finally submits to Eddy, who drops him unceremoniously to the mat. Still fresh and eager for revenge, Eddy doesn't even wait a second before heaving Blaine back up into another bearhug, this time chest to chest, belly to belly. The pressure of Eddy's massive, sweating arms forces Blaine to submit not just once, but two, three, four, five, ... okay, we lost count how many times! Suddenly Blaine looks more dead than alive.
Eddy and Kieran are not done with him yet. Emboldened by their mutual domination, Kieran stretches Blaine in an inverted facelock and drives his fist to the man's unprotected abs. Then he and Eddy double team their victim, Kieran bracing Blaine in a full nelson while Eddy uses the unlucky sailor for a punching bag. "Are you still alive?" Eddy quietly taunts as he hoists Blaine up into an upside-down reverse bearhug to finish the kid off! It looks like the end for cocky Blaine Janus. But it's not. Not yet, anyway. Here's a match that should thrill fans of two-on-one squashes. It goes on and on, because Janus is such a resilient (and sometimes underhanded) competitor. Just when it looks like he can't take a minute more, he springs arrogantly back, sometimes charged on adrenalin and nothing else, and fires up his muscled opponents one more time. This match holds a surprise at every turn, so don't place your bets too early. The ending provides a neat little coda that's sure to put a smile on your face. Great athletes, great wrestling, great storytelling, just what you expect from BG East!
