Slug-Fest or Choke Party?
Neither Caleb Brand nor Rolf Fulton are strangers to the Knock Outs series. In Knock Outs 1, Brand did his best to hobble Velvet Revolver. On KO 3, Rolf had the unenviable task of taking on Toney Rico, who was 50-pounds heavier than Fulton. However, Caleb and Rolf were strangers to each other, having never fought mano a mano - before now.
The "tale of the tape" shows that Brand has a slight weight advantage, while Fulton has a slight height advantage. Otherwise, these two are virtually even on paper. But the real question is... will this be the pugilistic assault Rolf is ready for? Or will Caleb bring his brand of arrogant wrestling and out-crazy Rolf's manic style?
A long and lean Rolf Fulton, in a hot purple Speedo, does a boxing style warmup, jabbing and punching into the air as cocky Caleb Brand enters the ring, decked out in very shiny red pro trunks, laughing at what he sees. "Well, well, well, this is what they got for me," Brand says, smug and looking menacing. Caleb mocks, "You think you're going to beat ME?" Then as he flexes his beefy bicep, he adds, "You think you're going to beat this?!?" As Fulton steps in the ring, Brand taunts, "Not only am I going to beat you, but I'm going to knock you oot!" Oot being Canadian for out. Ouch! Someone's getting hurt!
Shortly after these talented pros lock up, Caleb shoves Rolf down with a thud, proving his weight advantage also gives him the strength advantage. After giving Rolf another flex, Caleb warns in his cocky, coaching way, "You might want to rethink what you're doing there."
Rolf goes at Caleb again, but the result is the same: Fulton shoved onto the back of his head and neck. As Brand starts to enjoy his power and goes for another lockup, Rolf ducks underneath and begins nailing Brand with right jabs straight to the face. He's well warmed up for boxing, and he staggers the stud.
Launching into some intense scientific chain wrestling, Rolf uses his speed to finally sneak around and catch Brand in a sleeper hold from behind! Caleb is still way too fresh, even after the punches, and is eventually able to squirm out of it, preventing a quick TKO victory for Fast Fulton. Rolf, seeming a good sport, actually gives Caleb the time to clear the cobwebs, instead of staying on the attack. Will this mistake come back to haunt him?
Caleb's attempts to wear Rolf down but a reverse bearhug, a mean body scissors do not garner even a submission. With Fulton slumped in the corner Caleb presses his boot into the Fulton family jewels! Fulton screams in pain, helpless from the torment. Now he elevates Caleb into a suspended suplex, allowing the blood to first drain into Fulton's head before dropping Rolf's back down onto the mat, hard! Brand begins to count. However mentally dizzy and physically winded Fulton is, he somehow staggers to his feet at the count of nine.
Caleb now pulls out more technical holds: surfboard, bow and arrow, Boston crab, abdominal stretch, several over-the-knee backbreakers! Groaning in agony, Rolf realizes it's now or never! He first nails Brand with a knee to the head, then a fantastic superkick! Will this sudden second wind propel Fulton the knock out victory? Or will suddenly staggered Brand find a way to put a stop to Fulton's momentum?
Two things are for sure. One, the victor knocks out his opponent with a stiff right cross; and Two, you don't want to miss these young studs going at in this special two-match Knock Out...and it's only the first match!
