Big Bulging Big Mouth Bites the Dust
Jobe attacks Donnie even before entering the ring, reaching across the top rope to smash his head to the turnbuckle. For all his big talk, Jobe knows the way to beat Drake is to play every underhanded trick he knows and bank on Donnie's sense of fair play to get away with it! Two years ago, the ploy might have worked. Jobe could have perhaps relied on his superior guile to dominate the smiling boy-next-door, but Drake has learned to cowboy up since then, and you have to feel a little sorry for Jobe, clueless asshole though he is, when you take into consideration the wheels that this attack sets in motion.
"All too easy," Jobe gloats as he pins Donnie in less than a minute. He chokes a concession out of the young fighter, but still Donnie adamantly refuses to please Zander by changing his gear. Right about then, Jobe is feeling indestructible, savoring his command over Drake's sturdily built body. But he doesn't know what hit him when Donnie starts unleashing his righteous rage upon him. "Maybe YOU should be the one to change!" Donnie snarls as he pushes Jobe's face to the mat. It's hard to talk a lot of trash when a big sweaty bruiser lights into you and wrings your arm up over your head. Drake has learned a thing or two in his years at BG East, though maybe that's a memo Jobe never received. "Big Mouth Bites the Dust," Donnie exclaims as his grunting weight presses Jobe flat to the mat. Gasping for air, Big Mouth is flat out of comebacks to that jibe.
Fall 3, then, is the one that counts, and from beginning to end it's a contest between training and cheating, between one man's pride and the other man's arrogance. Fall 3 throws everybody a few curves. The sweat pours, and the groans get louder and louder. A lot of vicious ball smashing ensues, and the two trade turns at whimpering and begging for mercy. One guy gets a spanking, and then he turns around and literally wipes the sweaty mat with the other guy's face. And just when you think that the end is but seconds away, there's a new neat twist and the agony starts all over again.
No spoilers here. But if the idea of two fighters, nerves frayed, sweating buckets, wrestling on pure instinct alone appeals to you, you will not be disappointed, and by the time the end comes - and it comes with terrible and ironic force - you will have forgotten which way you thought the match was going to turn out, and you'll be rubbing your eyes in disbelief as the final blow lands ... harder than you could ever imagine it would!
