Famous Last Words, or, Say It and Say It NOW!
Both Kieran and Braden are decent fighters, for sure, with fire in their bones and a decent knowledge of the moves that bruise, but also fighters who have been bashed more times than not. And in the weight room both wrestlers voice ominous statements that are tantamount to two camp counselors in an eighties slasher film planning to smoke weed and have sex in the woods - that is to say, they both say things we usually associate with mouthy jobbers on the verge of getting slapped down to the mat but good!
About 90% of the time, the first guy to enter the ring is the one who is left flat on his back at the end. We all know this, right? Well, guess what? Both men enter the ring at exactly the same time. So next we look for the guy who can't tear himself away from the mirror. Less dependable than the timing of the ring entry, but still a pretty good clue, effective about 60% of the time. So it's Kieran to the mirror, while Braden stretches, and it's Dunne who strikes the first pose, too, which clearly puts him two points in the lead for the role of jobber. But then Braden goes and offers to give Kieran a "few pointers" on the right way to pose-DING! 2 to 1, and then Braden tricks Kieran into trapping his own arms into the top ropes before viciously punching and kicking the guy in the gut, a patently cowardly ploy - so, DING! the two hunks are tied again, as we see it, 2-2.
What follows is not entirely one sided, but one fighter consistently bashes his opponent, beating him down to a mere shell of his former cocky self. Braden dominates Kieran at nearly every turn. Braden wants nothing more than to prove himself a fighter to be reckoned with at BG East, home of so many legendary champions, and Kieran, it appears, is simply the man who got in his way. Lots of great muscle exposure on both men in this fight. Incapacitated before the match even starts, Kieran is all but defenseless against Braden's constant assaults. While Braden tries to shatter Kieran's vertebrae, Kieran tries to choke Charron out every chance he gets. Both men are highly focused, but Braden manages to call nearly all the shots. Can Kieran pull a surprise, last-minute reversal? It doesn't look good. Braden Charron shows that, unless he can be stopped, he means at last to shed his pretty-boy image and be taken seriously - by Dunne, by The Boss, by the fans, and by any poor sucker with the bad luck to get caught in his sights in the future.
