Having reasserted his dominance, even if by dastardly means, Cameron Matthews throws Austin Cooper to the mat, punishing the man's face, abs, and pecs. As pin attempts and muscle abuse rains back and forth, this knock-down drag-out showcases muscles in top form, getting tested and destroyed! Austin reminds Cam that, of the two of them, Coop still carries the thicker and heavier muscle. Slowly losing it, Cam unravels his wristband and proceeds to choke Austin with it, dragging him to the corner for a stompdown. "Think you can come into the ring with a BG legend like me?" Cameron rails furiously. "What makes you think you can beat me?" Boots to the face, a small package and Austin stuns him with the first pinfall. The action gets only stiffer, sweatier, and crazier from this point on.
Austin's massive physique is ab stretched in the turnbuckle, tortured in the ropes, knotted and twisted as only a talented ring vet like Cam can deliver. Fast-paced and intense, this match makes these two babyface stars outdo themselves as they go all out for victory. Egos collide. Hurling insults and abuse along with bone-crushing assaults, Austin and Cam give their best and suffer the worst the other has to offer. When one wrestler calls the other "Jobber," a line is crossed that brings the match to a crashing climax, a shitstorm of nasty that ends only when one guy brains the other against the turnbuckle and walks away!
BG East's Babyface Brawl 2 supplies one great pro-wrestling move after another. Given his pro bona fides, we would expect as much from Cam. The surprise here for many fans may be just how quick, agile, and skilled Austin is. Already in his very own BG East Wrestler Spotlight earlier, Coop deftly proved his mettle in the squared circle in a heated contest against Kid Karisma. If his match here against Matthews is not actually better than that match, it is at least as good, and as accomplished and thrilling a bout as any you are likely to see this year. Equally surprising is the depth and intensity of Cameron's heel turn. Usually the well-behaved babyface in previous matches, Cam demonstrates that he indeed has a cruel streak to match BG East's most celebrated bad boys. It's a thrilling revelation of heretofore-unseen viciousness, marking a definite high point in Matthews' underground wrestling career. Here is the kind of supercharged clash of wills that only BG East can provide.
