The Bully or the Bully-Buster?
While this match-up turns out not be to quite the squash Matt Reid had in mind, it's certainly not the one-sided wrestling clinic Angelo intended, either. Starting off the second fall, Angelo slaps the big man in the face just to piss him off. Anyone who's been on the receiving end of a bitch slap knows how startling and provocative it can be. It may not hurt but it sure does sting - and the damage is as much psychological as physical! And the reaction can be sudden and striking. To wit: a half second later, bitch-slapper Angelo finds himself flat on his back, schoolboy pinned, with Matt delighting in slapping and punching Angelo in the face. "Huh!? Come on, tough guy!" Matt taunts. "Fight back!" With 210 pounds squarely on his chest and pinning his arms to the mat, Angelo has no way to fight back. Matt laughs sadistically, "I'm just toying with you now..."
Matt proceeds to turn Angelo into his own personal twist tie. Tapping the cocky kid out to even the score, Matt doesn't give him even a moment to catch his breath. Laughing maniacally with every new painful hold, Matt proves that he is certainly not slow, he is definitely not dumb, and he's developed an impressive arsenal of wrestling holds in his tenure with BGE. Both wrestlers discover that winning this match will require a lot more than expected, as lightening fast submissions are traded back and forth. Angelo repeatedly shocks his bigger opponent with unexpected strength and tenacity, while Matt continues to catch Angelo off guard with more wrestling skill and mat savvy than Angelo thought the big man could bring. The submissions get meaner as both are determine not just to win, but to outdo one another in delivering humiliation. The final, decisive submission (there are seven in all!) gives just one of these young hunks what he's been dreaming of, but it will give fans of fast, furious, humiliating mat action everything they've been dreaming of.
