Gods of Havoc - or - Jocks In Jocks!
Perhaps Eli and Jake never really were cut out for by-the-book freestyle wrestling. Sure, they were good at it but now they're both trained MMA fighters, after all, and nowadays they're both more accustomed to the catch-as-catch-can spirit of pro-style wrestling than to strict amateur rules. Now, scoring points and the formal niceties of sport are just no way for real men to fight. Eli starts tugging impatiently at the straps of his singlet. "Getting serious now," he says, "getting a little hot." Jake laughs at him, and in a cocky and taunting gesture of one-upmanship, he strips off his singlet to just a tangerine-colored jockstrap. Eli's not about to be outdone. "I definitely look better than you," he grumbles, and he too strips down to his jock strap and testily discards the ear-guards too.
The two men lock up, and Eli slams Jake's back against the wall and repeatedly uses his own body as a bludgeon to pummel Jake's. We're well beyond "practice" now, well beyond rules and sportsmanlike behavior. This is primal stuff, Cro-Magnon conflict resolution. It's no secret that Eli has a short fuse. We've seen evidence of it before, namely in his BGE debut against a much heavier opponent, Morgan Cruise. And it's fairly obvious, too, that coming up against Jake he already had a chip on his shoulder. But Jake can play rough too. He takes control again and shoves Eli to the wall ... with violent and un-composed force. Eli collapses to his knees. Jake hauls him back to his feet by a fistful of hair and then body-slams him to the mat. Then Jake bends down to assault Eli's eight-pack abs.
The veneer of civilization peels away, and the gods of havoc rage. It gets much, much worse ... or better, depending on your tastes in sports entertainment. We all know the word "classic" gets bandied about too much these days, "masterpiece," too. But this meet-up is one that we're certain is going to stick in your memory for years to come. Not only are Jake and Eli two of the most charismatic personalities to enter the underground wrestling scene in years, but they are also skilled, brutal, relentless, balls-to-the-wall rowdies who know how to handle themselves in a fight.
