Braden has a few years' worth of experience advantage on Chace and he knows the ropes well. To win, sometimes you have to catch your opponent off guard. When Chace protests that his tactics are unfair, Braden need not say a word in self-defense. He scoops the pretty boy up in the air and bodyslams his ass to the mat. Sometimes that's all there is to winning and losing: who's in the position to slam versus who put himself in position to GET slammed.
Braden repeatedly targets Chace's mid and lower back vertebrae in an effort to both punish and stun as well as exhaust the younger wrestler. "If it wasn't for those tattoos," the heel observes while stretching Chase's camera-ready abs, "you'd be another one of those little Abercrombie boys": all pose, he insinuates, and no throws.
Posing alone doesn't cut it at BG East. If you want to win, you usually need to stalk your man like a predator. Braden doesn't give Chace much time to learn this lesson, but Chace is a fast study. Later in the bout, in a chest-to-chest test of strength, Chace once again overpowers his iron-solid opponent, but having learned from experience, he now also kicks the man in the midsection, just to guarantee his hold on victory.
